CNC MILLING - The CNC abbreviation stands for computer numerical control, and refers specifically to a computer “controller” that reads G-code instructions and drives a machine or tool. A milling machine can perform a vast number of complex operations, such as slot cutting, planing, drilling, rebating, routing, etc. The machine’s cutting tool rotates around a spindle or axis, similar to a drill, while a movable table holds the piece that is to be manipulated.
